Still sick :(/ 7:15 AM
Sunday, September 28, 2008

Hey guys. Sorry again for the late late late update. I've been sick nowadays, and I still am. Thought that I owe this blog another post, so here it is.

Let's start from yesterday.  Went to Ikea to buy furniture for Hari Raya. I was at first, but I followed anyway. Took about 1 hour and a half to reach there. It was quite crowded, seeing as it was the weekends and Aidilfitri was coming. Looked around, mum bought some stuff such as mat. Actually our aim was to buy some chairs for the dining table, since most of them were in poor condition. We found the chair, but didn't know where to go to purchase it. It was near Maghrib so we decided to go to Giant first to buy food for breaking fast. My mum and I then went back to Ikea to buy the chairs. Turns out, we had to carry all the 6 chairs from the self-service furniture area (carry as in place on the trolley) all the way to the counter where we will have to pay, then go to the transport service counter for transport service ofcourse. It was quite troublesome, and to add to the troublesome, the delivery will be on Hari Raya from 2pm-6pm. Aw means we can't go to a lot of houses.

Okay, so we went back to Giant, bought groceries and went home (ofcourse there were little details too but I've decided not to include them). Reached home about 11pm. Went to pray, then ate snacks (bad idea for a guy with cough) before heading to sleep.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. Before riding the bus to Tampines, I bought a copy of this month's GAMEaxis. Turns out, I got a free CD to install Fifa Online 2, which is awesome since I already have the account, now I just have to install it then play. Also, I bought a novel called CELL by Stephen King
. It's about a virus known as The Pulse. It was carried by every cellular phone operating in the world. It caused people to be infected, turning them to "crazy zombies". And Clay Riddel, a young artist, has to reach to his son before he ons his phone. And time is running out. It's an awesome story. Only read the first few chapters and was amazed how thrilling it is. I recommend this book to you guys, but if you can't afford it ($17.10) you can ask me at school.

Somehow my MSN's not working. the window just pop out but without any contents. Sigh, bugs. Okay, that's it for today. Oh yeah, Selamat Hari Raya to all my muslim friends and Happy Children's Day to all the children in the world. BYE!.

Supp (100th post, eh?)/ 10:00 AM
Sunday, September 21, 2008

Hi again. Sorry for long wait. Kinda not in the mood to blog. Cause I've been, well, uh, busy doing stuffs (mostly involves sleeping. So yeah. Hmm nothing much going on today, really. Later I'll go for the usual religious class, then I'll come home and do the boring stuffs again. Not been going out much these days because it's the month of fasting (thus feeling tired during day), no money (typical) and exams are coming.

Hmm I've been thinking about music lately. Just realize I don't have any money to buy any album. I know I can download songs for free, but I'm a music fan and understand how hard the artists has worked for to make music. So I'll just keep myself updated with downloaded podcasts and previous songs I have. My iPod's still fine, but somehow I want an iPod Touch. Nah...shouldn't be sooo kiasu. After all, I'm in the position where there's not much I can do with money.

Anyway, got back to trying to solve Brain Twist. You know, the pyramid version of Rubix cube. Coulldn't solve 4 out of the 8 colours. I know, sounds far away from solving but actually I'm quite close to it because usually when u solve one side, you can solve the other. So I need somebody to help finish of the pyramid.

Oh by the way, it's already the 21st day of Ramadhan. Wow, time flies just to fast for me to notice. I really want to get Lailatul Qadr, it only happens once every year. And best of all, nobody knows the exact day excep Allah s.w.t. So it's like a chance of a lifetime. It's better than having an ipod Touch. Or anything else. There's a saying: The wisest of us are the ones who remember about death and prepares for it.

Most of my time, I use the com. Why? Because of Internet. It's a big world in there. Lots of things to see. Lots of stuffs to do. And best of all, you only need to use your hands. But I agree that I should go out more often, but as I said earlier, I don't really have any reason to go out other than go for classes. Anyway, if you haven't heard of Smosh, go look for them in Youtube or smosh.com . They are awesome people making funny vids to watch. Here's the 1st episode from their new video: Life As A Ghost

Most pro teacher:
Teacher: Do you know what am I going to teach about?
Students: No
Teacher: Then might as well I don't teach
*Walks off*

Next day,
Teacher: Do you know what am I going to teach about?
Students: Yes
Teacher: Might as well don't teach cause you all already know
*Walks off*

Next day,
Teacher: Do you know what am I going to teach about?
Students: (Some say yes some say no)
Teacher: Then the ones who know teach the ones who don't know
*Walks off*

=.="

Hmm gonna cook HE today. Saturday seems to be a fine day to cook something different. Anyway, nothing much going on today. Gonna finish my homework, do Maths revision, cook. I think that's the highlights today, other then breaking fast (looks up at clock). I feel like going out today (not surprising since everyday feel like going out). I just feel like taking a breath. Now's the 8th day I'm fasting, so might as well do some activities to get closer to God. Can't wait to buy a CD album. Don't know which to buy, Viva La Vida, We Dance, We Sing, We Steal Things or A Little Bit Longer. Any recommendations, please? Okay, bye.

Introducing the new Ipod Nano.

Supp again. Today was a boring day. Lessons were draggy. Mainly because conserving energy during fasting. So yeap. That was it. Well tomorrow there's PE (=.= makes us tired?), there's Sci, then there's recess duty, then there's MT, then there's E.Lite, which most of the 2E1 are screwed cause we didn't get CLEAR (not referring to a shampoo product) instructions from Miss Jasmine. So well, next there's the susual Fri prayers, then there's lighthouse (which has no point as it only makes us muslims more tired). I hope they'll give us nap time or something.  Oh by the way Apple has announced a new Ipod Nano and an Ipod Touch. Wtf it's just been months since the latest Ipod Touch came out in Singapore and now this? Apple needs to slow down a bit and let the wind finish blowing first. K that's all. Bye!

*yawns" Eh, more than 1 week already uh?/ 4:06 PM
Wednesday, September 10, 2008

Let's just say I had a long week. As in I have "no time" to update the blog. So sorry on the hold up.
Anyway I'll just start from today. Morning assembly had a prize presentation of the robotics team winning. Congrats to them. Soon Eng had received her medal and was at the area beside the staircase towards hall when suddenly there was a cockroach crawling. Obviously, she screamed. The cockroach then ran towards Mr Mok, but then it stopped, ironically. Maybe it was too scared of him. lol . Okay then the cockroach ran again and was almost stepped by a few other girls before running out of sight.

Skip to lessons. Had MT reading period. Next had geography and did some corrections. Then had had English lessons on situational writing. After class, slipped my birthday present for Lydia on her table.

Reccess-watched others playing soccer at the CCA room area. Obviously, dman violent. Kicking, slamming, and slapping of the tennis ball was involved. Theo was one of the victims. Although he kicked like a kangaroo XD .

Then we had Maths lesson. Lydia was sure happy with my drawing :) . Of course she received a lot of presents too. We learnt a new chapter in Maths. Quite easy I guess. Then we had Art. Some of them was like "your mask sure get high marks lah". Anyway made some finishing touches to mmy mask before handing it over for marking. Got 70 marks for planning. A bit disheartened, but at least get an A :) .

Next we had Science. Corrections was done. Ask a few questions from Shan Te and Ms Teo about the chapter cause I got confused. In the mean time, Amalina and Isa were talking about puasa so I joined in the talk. Exchanged knowledge about it and stuffs.

After school, typically went home. The usuals was done, added by doing homework and going online to blog and update myself in Stomp Talkback. Okay I think that's all. Oh yeah received EOY exam timetable so I must plan my time well. Let's do it!!! Okay in the meantime, I think I'm gonna go online in MSN and later read E.Lite dramatization. Off I go, bye!

Monday blueees/ 11:47 AM

sup humans. Kinda not-so-exciting-and-pleasant day today. Cause I have nothing to do (and by that I mean no interest in anything). Hmm today's 1st day of Ramadhan and I'm feeling the difference between fasting on the fasing month and fasting on an ordinary day:

1. You feel much more tired and weak during Ramadhan compared to normal days
2. You don't feel very envy when looking at others eating compared to normal days cause you know that other muslims too are fasting.
3. You don't really have the urge to do unpleasant stuff (insult people, gossip etc) as compared to a normal day
4. You feel more hungrier and craving for food during Ramadhan

Hmm fyi (to non-muslims) during the month of Ramadhan Allah imprisons every devil to hell and they are being tied to a pole. That means that only human's greed and lust is left to, how should I say, "corrupt". Also, Heaven's gate will open and Hell's gate will close, thus people will feel closer to God and blessings will be given.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention, Muslims fast during Ramadhan to remind themselves of what it would be like to be a begger or someone who's lives are unfortunate so that we will be grateful to Allah for what we have and use our time carefully.

Ramadhan is a 30-day month and is divided into 3 sections:

1st ten days- Rahmat (blessings)
On the 1st ten days, Allah will give Rahmat, which means blessings (in terms of improving lives, strengthening heart and soul, etc)

2nd ten days- Forgiveness
On the 2nd ten days, Allah will forgive us for the sins that we have commited. At this period, Allah will be more forgiving so it is encouraged to ask for forgiveness during this time.

last ten days- rescue from Neraka (Hell)
On the final ten days, Allah will promise us that He will save us from Hellfire after we die. At this period, it is most encouraged to pray to God for safety as we'll never know whether we'll be safe in the after-life.

Also, during the last ten days of the holy month, 1 night will be the night of Lailatul Qadr. This night is special because it only comes once in a year and in the Quran it is said that 1000 angels will come down from the Heavens and the night is better than 1000 months (about 83 years) . This means that if we get 1 pahala (value of good deed) it is equal to 83 years of good deed. That is why most muslims frequently go to the mosque to do Terawih prayers (fasting month prayers) in the evening during the last 10 days to achieve the Lailatul Qadr. This may also be the only way to collect as much good deeds as we can, as our death isn ear and we will never know whether we will live for 83 years.

Well that's my introduction to Ramadhan. If you wanna know more please don't hesistate to ask me :) . Anyway there'll be a few remedials during this week so I'll at least spend useful time to study. Well, to all Muslims, happy Ramadhan!
